Underwater Photography Course

Want to learn Underwater Photography? Sick of taking average images? Want to get your camera OFF Auto!!!! 

I have developed an underwater photo course, that will give you enough knowledge without frying your brain and more importantly in-water tuition in order to develop your skills. 

The main course is based over a weekend which includes theory sessions, a pool skiils circuits to develop learning  and a full days diving including image critique.

The course is pitched so beginners can learn initial skills along with experienced users cementing their knowledge and developing advanced techniques.  Hire cameras can be arranged and specialist equipment will be available for advanced users such as remote strobes & snoots.

In addition, a one day shakedown course and one to one tution can also be arranged. Please contact me to discuss dates as minimum numbers apply. 







The main course is over a weekend in the following format.


Day 1 - Classroom Theory & Pool Session 

Theory includes;

• Camera design, styles, terminology and formats
• Camera functions & how to use them properly
• Considerations for taking underwater images
• Subject Type & Tactics
• Composition, Bacskatter, Lighting

Pool Skills

• Diving techniques
• Practice camera mode & techniques 
• Skills circuits & scenario practice

Day 2 - Open Water Photo Dives 

A full days diving of up to 3 dives on specifically chosen sites for photo scenarios. Max depth up to 20m. Lunch Included. Photo challenge & critique between dives to enable learning & progression. Sites dependant on weather and availability.
